K/BIS
This year's Kitchen and Bath Industry Show highlighted many new
products from companies both domestic and abroad. The pride of
Italy introduced many options for modern cabinetry including Blum's new
Servo drive. The Servo drive, currently only available in European
manufacturers but expected to hit the United States sometime in 2008, is
a low voltage system which takes push to open to a new level. A
slight tap on the drawer front and the drawer opens to a full extension.
It is available on all of our Aster Cucine cabinetry. We spent
time at K/BIS with the Blum representatives to learn the intricacies of
the operation of the unit. It is a must see so please stop
by the studio and take a look.
In addition, Dewils introduced six new door styles and colors to
their already extensive selection. You now have dozens to make
your kitchen truly unique. We also added several new products
including a line of composite sinks, the newest trends in faucets and
electronics for the digital kitchen to include a hands free security and
entertainment system. This system includes a 7" drop down LCD
panel with television and am/fm radio capabilities. You can also tie
your dvd or cd player into it. But the best part is it includes a
color front door camera with a wide angle lens which allows you to see
and speak to the person at your front door without having to open the
door. Other features include a digital clock with an alarm and voice
messaging recorder. Talk about peace of mind!
Other new product additions include direct and indirect cabinet
lighting, glass countertops and vessel sinks, a new vanity line,
maintenance free fireplaces specifically designed for the kitchen that
sets the perfect mood to the end of the perfect day and several new
choices for back and wall splashes include faux brick and stone as well
as stainless steel.
These shows are important for kitchen and bath professionals to stay
up to date with trends so that we may offer them to you. Also it
gives us a chance to learn more about the products we already carry so
that we may educate our clients on design and construction.
